Inspect & Certify.
By law, all permanently mounted fall arrest safety systems require annual inspection and recertification. These systems can include roof mounted anchor points, static lines, vertical static line ladders, overhead and roof mounted rail systems. Other height safety systems such as ladders, guardrails, skylight protectors and walkways are recommended by manufactures to be inspected and re-certified annually by an accredited inspector.
TechLine group has a specialist maintenance & recertification team that can undertake the annual inspection and maintenance of your permanently installed systems ensuring peak performance and guaranteed regulatory compliance.
We pride ourselves on exceeding expectations with servicing your maintenance needs consistently and professionally. This includes detailed checks, cleaning, repairing, maintaining and replacing of your products if and when the need arises.
When Re-certifying Access & Fall Protection Systems, TechLine use an asset identification tagging system for ongoing traceability and record history. Upon completion of your Re-certification we provide Inspection Reports with records of each assets identification number and asset type. This allows Property Managers to easily trace each height safety system asset installed to their buildings.
Why Should I Have My Roof Access System Certified?
WHS Legislation and Australian Standards require Fall Arrest Equipment to be inspected and certified by suitably competent person prior to first use and then on a regular basis. This inspection and certification is to ensure the equipment is correctly installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. It is also important to ensure the structure to which an anchor is attached is adequate for the imposed loads, and has not been modified and/or deteriorated in any way that affects the structural integrity of the systems.
How Often Should I have This Done?
Australian Standards require that inspection intervals be in accordance with manufacture’s recommendations as a general rule these recommended intervals are as follows.
- Fall Arrest Anchors – Annually
- Horizontal Lifelines – Annually
- Rigid Rail Systems – Annually
- In the absence of any recommendation the interval shall be annually.
